Artists who have “custom” made recordings and are sold primarily by themselves or student performers who have only released a single/EP which is/was available for purchase through digital media (eg. iTunes) are considered, for the purpose of this quest, as Amateur performers.
MCMC reserves the right to rule on each case on its own merits, with any decision made as final
- Overall Winner: Points are accumulated from judge’s sectional scores. The highest overall point score will be judged as overall winner. In the event of a tied score a count back system will apply. Duo/Group and Open sections point scores are not included in the ‘overall’ point score.
All Sections: Entries will be judged on vocal/musical ability as well as relevance to the section, country content and other criteria. The MCMC talent quest entry process does not appraise entries.
Song writing Section: The entered song is to be performed by either the writer or their chosen agent and will be judged at the time of the performance. 3 copies of the song, lyrics only, are to be submitted with the entry. All songs must be ‘Country’ in theme or attitude. Song Title must be noted on entry form along with band requirements.
